Wine and Food Pairing: The Art of Elevating Every Bite

Calling all wine lovers! This season, our executive chefs and expert bartenders have collaborated to craft a farm-to-table dining experience that pairs each course with a wine to perfectly complement its flavors and textures. We will guide you along your menu choices to experience the menu in a fresh, exciting way.

Discover the art of pairing food and wine at the Farmer’s Daughter, where every bite is elevated.

Warm Walnut Goat Cheese

Start with the Warm Walnut Goat Cheese, drizzled with honey and served alongside our house-made crackers. This appetizer pairs beautifully with a glass of Folie à Deux Chardonnay from Russian River Valley. The chardonnay’s crisp notes and balanced acidity enhance the creamy, nutty flavors, making for an elegant beginning to your culinary journey.

Squash Salad

For your second course, select the vibrant Squash Salad featuring  roasted Kabocha squash, Cippolini onions, golden raisins, spicy pepitas, arugula, and feta cheese, all tied together with hot honey and a balsamic glaze. We recommend pairing it with Cielo Pinot Noir, whose bright red fruit flavors and delicate acidity elevate the sweetness of the squash and raisins while harmonizing with the tangy glaze and creamy feta.

Pumpkin Gnocchi

Our next two menu choices feature exceptional entrees. Experience the rich and earthy flavors of our Pumpkin Gnocchi, tossed with kale, Parmesan Reggiano, pine nuts, and a velvety orange béchamel sauce. A glass of Juggernaut Pinot Noir is the perfect match, with its earthy undertones and medium body balancing the creamy sauce and complementing the pumpkin’s natural sweetness.

Filet Mignon

If you prefer a prime cut, our succulent Filet Mignon accompanied by twice-baked potato, Swiss chard, and a rich red wine reduction, is a dish to truly savor. Pair it with Ikella Malbec, whose robust dark fruit flavors and structured tannins complement the filet’s buttery texture and deepen the richness of the red wine reduction.

Maple & Pear

For the final course, conclude your meal with the delicate Maple & Pear dessert, featuring maple Bavarian cream, candied walnuts, and a crisp pear chip. The Francois Montand Brut, with its dry nose and bright bubbles, balances the sweetness of the cream and the crunch of the candied walnuts for a refreshing and satisfying finish.

Explore the harmony of flavors in every pairing and celebrate the artistry of wine and food at the Farmer’s Daughter. Cheers!
